India's real estate market is undergoing a significant transformation, with its value poised to double from USD 477 billion today to USD 1 trillion by 2030, fueled by robust infrastructure projects, targeted government reforms, and a surge in digital initiatives extending benefits across the country.

Key policies, such as the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), have strengthened transparency and accountability, making the sector more attractive to both domestic and international investors.

In the first half of 2024 alone, India attracted USD 3.1 billion in real estate investments, representing a remarkable 65% of total institutional capital. Global giants like Blackstone and Brookfield have pledged long-term commitments that will inject billions into the sector, signalling strong confidence in India’s real estate potential and supporting the rising demand for residential, commercial, and industrial assets.

Furthermore, technological advancements, particularly in mobile and digital infrastructure, are revolutionising market access. With millions of new investors entering the space, the real estate sector is becoming a cornerstone of India’s broader economic expansion.

According to the 2024 Asia Pacific Investor Intentions Survey by CBRE, India has emerged as a top destination for foreign capital in emerging markets, with Mumbai and Delhi standing out as prime investment hotspots. As India cements its position as a global economic leader, its real estate market is set to play a pivotal role in driving future growth and attracting substantial global capital.
