● The focus on these two key new countries strengthens Líbere Hospitality Group's strategy to expand its presence in high-demand tourist destinations with strong growth potential in the alternative accommodations segment.

Paris, 11th September 2024. Líbere Hospitality Group, Spain's largest operator of short- and medium-term alternative accommodations, continues its international expansion, focusing on significant European markets like the United Kingdom and France, where it is seeking new opportunities for marketing, operation, purchase, or acquisition. As part of this internationalisation plan, the company has recently announced the addition of new assets in Greece and Portugal, countries where it already has a presence.

Expansion into the UK and France: New Strategic Horizons

Líbere Hospitality Group has identified the UK and France as key strategic markets for its expansion in Western Europe. These countries not only represent globally recognized tourist destinations, but also provide an economic and cultural environment conducive to the expansion of its business model, which is based on modernity, flexibility, and comfort.

In the words of Antón de la Rica, Co-CEO of LHG: "Our entry into markets like the UK and France marks another step in our evolution. Both countries represent a challenge and an opportunity to replicate the success we’ve achieved in other European markets. These countries are not only world-renowned tourist destinations but also offer an ideal economic and cultural setting for expanding our business model, which is rooted in modernity, flexibility, and comfort. In this context, we are focused on establishing partnerships with property owners and SOCIMIs who share our ambition to transform the alternative accommodations sector. At LHG, we are committed to offering accommodations that meet the expectations of international travellers, combining innovative design with a focus on sustainability and service excellence."

Growth in Greece: The First Step Toward Diversification in Southeast Europe

As part of its expansion strategy, Líbere Hospitality Group has signed its first project in Greece, acquiring a property in Piraeus, Athens. This new development, which will feature 32 units, marks a significant entry into an emerging market with high tourism potential.

Piraeus, known as Greece's main port, is a strategic location for LHG's expansion in the region. This project not only highlights the company's ambition to grow in key markets but also reinforces its goal of diversifying its offerings across Europe.

Consolidation in Portugal: A Growing Market

In addition to its expansion into Greece, Líbere Hospitality Group has consolidated its presence in Portugal with the acquisition of its second property in Porto. This move reflects the company’s confidence in the Portuguese market, which has proven to be a successful platform for its accommodation model.

The new acquisition in Porto, located in Vila Nova de Gaia, strengthens Líbere's commitment to sustainable growth and innovation in the hospitality sector in Portugal.

With the addition of these new assets, the company has reached a total of 36 properties in its portfolio, spread across Spain and other European markets.

The company projects accelerated growth in the next three years, aiming to multiply its revenue by six and reach a turnover of €100 million by 2026. This ambitious expansion reinforces Líbere's commitment to leading the European alternative accommodations market, positioning itself as a benchmark in modern hospitality.

With this international focus, Líbere Hospitality Group is well-positioned to capitalise on its success in both emerging and established markets, securing its place as a key player in the global hospitality industry.

About Líbere Hospitality Group

Líbere Hospitality Group (LHG) was launched in 2019 with a clear vision: to build the largest alternative to traditional accommodations in Europe, creating a new operational model centred on customer experience and technology as its defining pillars.

By 2023, with 1,200 units in its portfolio and 500 in operation, LHG had positioned itself as the leading operator of alternative accommodations in Spain. It operates apartments in 12 cities across the peninsula: Bilbao, San Sebastián, Córdoba, Ciudad Real, Málaga, Pamplona, Vitoria, Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, Valencia, and Lisbon. The Portuguese capital is, in fact, the starting point for the group’s ambitious internationalisation project.

In just four years of market presence, LHG has been able to challenge traditional operating models. Thanks to a model based on the development of proprietary technology, LHG guarantees the highest returns in the market for asset owners and the best experience for guests in premium locations in urban destinations, fully equipped with distinctive style and design.
